Last week, I presented our recent work on the visual and haptic perception of real surfaces at the Materials Science and Haptics Workshop in the INM. The workshop convened researchers who are active in the field of tactile perception of materials. The workshop was a forum for a presentation of the recent developments in research on the tactile perception of materials and for discussion of future directions and open questions.
